Earl Grey Tea
Earl Grey Tea was named after Charles Grey, the second earl in his line. Legend has it that the Earl was given the recipe by a Chinese Mandarin with whom he was friends, and whose life he had saved. Earl Grey is a blend of Indian and Ceylon teas that gets its unusual flavor from oil of Bergamot, a small acidic orange. This tea has a light refreshing taste, and can be served hot with or without milk or sugar, although purists would argue against the use of milk! It can also be used to make an excellent iced tea. 3 oz. (85 grams)
